I’ll be in New Orleans with time to kill this Wednesday. Does anyone know of any car museums or cool shops I could visit in the area? Will be road-tripping a 2016 Camaro to Dallas this week so if you’re along the way, come say hello!

Crap! I’m going to be in New Orleans on wednesday! However, I’m most likely going to be busy showing a lady from a Japanese organization I’m applying for an internship to! If it wasn’t for that I would of loved to show you around. As far as places to see, I always recommend royal and decatur street! There’s a ton of shops and cool resturants along both of them! Also the WW2 museum is pretty awesome, they have several planes and a Rolls Royce v-12! I don’t really know about any especially awesome car places minus NOLA motor speedway where they have some kick ass go karts and occasionally car shows. As far a places to eat I love Dennies, it’s a wonderful seafood place, the prices are reasonable, the food’s good, and they have a good selection of beer! 5/5 I go every time!

Also a word of warning, keep your wits about you. As much as I love New Orleans it’s a shady city and people get shot in tourist areas more than I like. Stick to the main streets and you should hopefully be ok.

Thanks for the info! I’ll catch you some other time. As a landlocked Canadian I can’t wait to have some real seafood again.

Not sure yet. They’re giving us two whole days to make the drive so we have plenty of time.

Go to the WWII museum. If I only had one day in the area, that’s what I would do. The French quarter is the tourist area where you can find all the small shops and bars. Swing by Cafe du Monde for coffee and beignets. Drive across the Lake Pontchartrain causeway, one of the longest bridges in the world. Do that on the way in - it’s free going to New Orleans but is tolled on the way out.

Be careful in town. It's on the top-thirty list of the most dangerous cities in the U.S. That being said, it's still safer than driving.

If you do, stop here in Nashville and go to the Lane. Also eat a meal here. We have tons of fantastic places to eat
